The family and its depiction in the past and present

The family is the center of interest in contemporary society, which approaches it socially, politically and philosophically in different ways, especially the current social and interpersonal situation. It has long been one of the valuable subjects of art. Its depiction has a long history and never-ending inspirational power. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the topic of the family, its position from a sociological and historical point of view, as well as its depiction across the art of the past and present. Specific artists of the past who worked with the theme of family, were inspired or depicted their own family are listed here in more detail. It also includes modern and contemporary art, their different approach and grasp of the theme of family. The didactic part deals with how to sensitively approach this topic to today's children's audience and integrate it into art education lessons. In the practical part, I work with the theme of family, a kind of album will be created, a collection of works that are closely connected with my own family. A set of drawings, photographs, collages supplemented with incidents or statements of individual family members. The whole album will form a kind of complete picture of my family. A child in a dysfunctional family environment

This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the functions of the family and their disorders with respect to the child in the first chapter. The second chapter describes the dysfunctional family. The third part shows the inappropriate effects of such families on the development of the child's personality and his primary socialization. The aim of the practical part is to show through case studies examples of possible effects of mental deprivation in childhood experienced in one's own family on parental and partner role in adulthood.
Raising children in problematic families

This work is focused on raising children in problematic families. This work is to describe different types of problematic families, charakterize thein causes and point sout, how the educational fiction of the family is affected and what effects it has on the child is development. At the end of the theoretical part, counseling facilities and institutions that deal with families with children. The practical part is focused on mapping the current situation of these families using a questionnaire survey and case studies.
The adverse life conditions of single mothers in the Czech Republic and their possible solutions from the perspective of social work

This assessment deals with very discussed topic in the field of social work, women, who raise their children themselves. The term single parent is explained in the introduction part of the assessment followed by terms family functions, incomplete families and their breakdown. This is followed by intorudction of economic impacts, poverty feminisation and women rights. Then the assessment addresses the support of women. The goal of this assessment was to introduce life of single mothers and to find out which economic aspects have an impact on their life standards based on expert resources, literature and conducted survey. To complete the goal, a qualitative survey was used based on half-structured interviews. The results of the survey are examined in the following discusion, then repeated in general at the final stage of the assessment which is supposed show the importance of single parenting in our society and the difficulties single mothers have to face. These difficulties are the hardship of finding an employment, a life balance between work and parenting and caring for children, shortage of pre-school and childcare services, and stigmatisation in the society. This assessment is also dedicated to everyone, who wants to gain a deeper insight in to the single parenting topic and how single mothers live and cope.
Problems of single - parent families in the Czech republic and selected countries of the European Union from the perspective of state social policy

My diploma work focuses on the issues of single-parent families in the Czech Republic and selected countries of the European Union from the perspective of social policy. I have selected those countries that border the Czech Republic, i.e. Slovakia, Germany, Austria and Poland. In the theoretical part of my diploma work I define family as an institution, its main functions, its historical development and its present changes. Further, I address the problems of single-parent and divorced parents from the psychosocial view, touching also on the subject from the perspective of the church. In conclusion to the theoretical part I address the social policies of individual countries. The practical part involves two pieces of research. The objective of the first piece of research has been to evaluate and compare statistical data from the social environments of the above mentioned countries with that of the Czech Republic. In the second part of research, by means of a questionnaire, I have sought the opinions and views of future family founders with regard to the issues of single-parents families.
Remediation of a Family with a Child with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This master's thesis discusses the topic of family with a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the support which this family may receive in the Czech Republic. In this context, functions and current functioning of family are described. Furthermore, the text brings information on the causes, manifestations and classification of ASD as well as on various autism spectrum disorders. Reactions of the family to the revelation about child's diagnosis are introduced together with the subsequent problems that the family faces. It also presents support options which families with an ASD-affected child may take advantage of. The following methods are used for the research: questionnaire construction, study of literature and unstructured interviews. The aim of this paper is to create a description of a family with an ASD-affected child and determine whether these families receive the necessary support and whether services provided for them are truly available to them.
Families at risk of social failure in the region of Karlovy Vary

This thesis is focusing on families at risk of social failure in the Region of Karlovy Vary. The aims of this work are outlining social situation in the Region of Karlovy Vary, mapping network of social service for families at risk of social failure and finding out the most frequent problems these families are struggle with. Outputs are the recommendations for SOS Children's Villages in Doubí in Karlovy Vary based on above presented findings that tells which services for families at risk would be advisable to set up. In theoretical part of final thesis is defined the concept of family at risk and then based on foreign experiences are cited the principles of how to work with these families. Practical part is build on study of feasibility realizes by SOS Children's Villages Association, which was finding out neediness of social services for families at risk and children in the Region of Karlovy Vary, where this organization is considering realization of programs for family support.
